About the role

We are looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist to join our Marketing team in Sydney.

Stake sits at the intersection of investing, culture and ambition. Every day, markets create stories, conversations and opportunities. Our job is to help ambitious Australians and New Zealanders make sense of them through content that informs, engages and inspires.

As Social Media & Content Specialist, you’ll own how Stake shows up across social media and help define the next chapter of our brand. You’ll create platform-native content that captures attention, sparks conversation and strengthens our connection with a growing community of investors. You’ll also play an active role in fostering that community, helping Stake show up authentically in the conversations that matter most to our audience.

From breaking market news to cultural moments and original content formats, you’ll turn ideas into creative that people genuinely want to watch, share and engage with. You’ll help shape Stake’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms, creating content that feels native to each channel and audience.

This is a rare opportunity to combine creativity, storytelling and market awareness in a role with real ownership. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, the support to move quickly and the opportunity to influence how one of Australia’s most recognised investing brands is experienced every day. Working closely with teams across Marketing, Product and Compliance, you’ll help create content that is engaging, accurate and built for a highly regulated industry. We work in a hybrid model, spending 3 days in our beautiful, dog-friendly Sydney office.

What success looks like

Within your first two years at Stake, you will have:

  • Helped establish Stake as one of the most distinctive and engaging voices in investing across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Built a repeatable content engine that consistently delivers high-quality, high-performing creative across multiple platforms.
  • Created original content formats that have become recognised parts of Stake’s brand and community experience.
  • Grown audience engagement, reach and brand affinity through content that feels timely, relevant and unmistakably Stake.
  • Become a trusted expert on platform behaviour, social storytelling and emerging content trends across the business.
  • Developed workflows and creative systems that increase content quality while enabling faster execution.
  • Built strong relationships across Marketing, Product and the wider business, helping turn complex ideas into accessible stories.
  • Contributed meaningfully to customer acquisition, brand awareness and community growth through content that drives measurable impact.
You’ll thrive here if…
  • You have strong experience creating social-first content and understand how different platforms reward creativity, storytelling and audience attention.
  • You can independently shoot, edit and publish high-quality video content, with strong instincts for pacing, structure and visual craft.
  • You combine creative thinking with commercial awareness and enjoy using performance insights to improve your work.
  • You have strong design skills and know how to bring ideas to life through social content, using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent tools.
  • You’re comfortable filming and interviewing others, with the ability to capture authentic stories, insights and soundbites that translate into engaging social content.
  • You move quickly, stay organised and consistently deliver high-quality output without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • You’re naturally curious about markets, business, culture and the conversations shaping ambitious Australians and New Zealanders.
  • You enjoy collaborating with people from different disciplines and can bring ideas to life through strong communication and execution.
Bonus if you’ve ever
  • Built or grown social channels for a fintech, consumer technology, media or content-led brand.
  • Created content focused on investing, business, personal finance or market news.
  • Worked in a regulated industry where balancing creativity, compliance and speed was essential.
  • Partnered with creators, influencers or communities to expand audience reach and engagement.
  • Used AI tools to accelerate content ideation, production or creative workflows.
