The opportunity

Downer is seeking a highly organised and commercially astute Contracts Administrator to join our Energy & Utilities Water business supporting the Unitywater Program.

In this role, you will play a key part in the administration and management of commercial and contractual activities across a diverse program of works. Working closely with project delivery teams, commercial leaders, subcontractors and clients, you will help ensure commercial compliance, contract governance, subcontractor management and project reporting obligations are delivered effectively.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative program environment focused on delivering critical water infrastructure projects while supporting successful commercial outcomes and building strong stakeholder relationships.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a Contracts Administrator, Commercial Administrator or similar role within construction, utilities, infrastructure or engineering environments
• Understanding of contract administration, commercial governance and subcontractor management principles
• Knowledge of Australian construction contracts and commercial processes
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems
• A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across project teams
