What you bring

You bring strong experience in building modern data platforms in a collaborative environment with solid commercial experience in data engineering and strong expertise in:

  • Cloud-based data architectures and scalable data platform design 
  • SQL (MySQL Aurora / TiDB) and data modelling
  • Designing and building high-throughput ELT/ETL pipelines
  • Working with NoSQL technologies and distributed data systems
  • Monitoring and operating data processing pipelines at scale
  • Exposure to AI/ML and data analytics tools
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance

How you work

You take ownership beyond implementation—working closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to design and deliver reliable data solutions into production.

You balance performance, scalability, and maintainability, design clean and efficient data systems, communicate clearly, and continuously improve workflows and data practices.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with large-scale or multi-petabyte data environments
  • Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives with data pipelines and architecture
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data tooling and modern platforms
  • Experience improving database performance and scalability in production

 Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data architecture and infrastructure
  • Build and optimise high-throughput ELT/ETL pipelines across multiple data sources
  • Work closely with engineering and business teams to deliver data solutions
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, security, and privacy across systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner
  • Create and maintain clear documentation of data systems and processes
  • Support AI initiatives through robust and scalable data solutions
  • Improve database performance, scalability, and overall platform efficiency
