Data Services Consultant - NSW

We’re looking for a Data Services Consultant who is curious, solutions focused, and excited by modern data environments. Someone who enjoys solving problems, identifying opportunities to improve the way things are done, and using technology to deliver smarter, more sustainable outcomes for customers. 

In the Role 

In this role, you’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to provide high-value support across a range of data platforms and environments. You’ll go beyond reactive issue resolution, helping drive improvements, uplift capability, and deliver meaningful operational and engineering outcomes. 

Your role will include: 

• Deliver advanced support that goes beyond day-to-day operational maintenance 

• Investigate and resolve issues across a variety of technologies and customer environments 

• Identify opportunities to optimise, enhance, and modernise existing solutions 

• Design and implement improvements using best-practice engineering methodologies 

• Use automation to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and improve performance 

• Contribute to customer reporting and provide practical, actionable recommendations 

• Collaborate with teammates, share knowledge, and help strengthen our Managed Data Services capability 

• Support the ongoing evolution of customer data platforms in a way that is scalable, sustainable, and effective 

What you will bring 

We’re looking for someone with strong foundational capability, a willingness to learn, and the mindset to grow. 

Lets talk experience: 

• Experience working with modern cloud and data platforms such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks 

• Hands-on capability in SQL 

• Exposure to data analytics, data warehousing, and business intelligence environments 

• Experience with data ingestion and ETL 

• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualisation tools 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Experience in a customer-facing role within the IT, data, or analytics space
