Your Team

As the Director AI Controls Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for translating AI (including GenAI and Machine Learning) governance, risk and policy requirements into operational controls and enterprise platforms. You will design, build and operate the central control, monitoring, evaluation and assurance infrastructure that enables AI to scale safely, consistently and transparently across CFS. Acting as the bridge between governance and engineering, you will provide the shared capabilities and control patterns consumed by federated delivery teams.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and operation of the enterprise AI control plane, including policy enforcement, approvals, guardrails, auditability and control automation. 

  • Establish enterprise observability, monitoring and telemetry capabilities, providing visibility of model performance, operational health, risk indicators and control effectiveness. 

  • Build and operate AI evaluation, testing and assurance platforms, including capabilities for model validation, performance monitoring, explainability, groundedness, fairness and ongoing assurance. 

  • Establish the infrastructure required for continuous third and fourth-party AI oversight, including monitoring of dependencies, model changes, concentration risk and operational resilience in line with regulatory expectations. 

  • Provide common monitoring, assurance, reporting and evidence-generation capabilities across both internal and external AI solutions. 

  • Define reusable control patterns, reference architectures, engineering standards and implementation guidance for enterprise adoption. 

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Science and Architecture teams to translate governance requirements into practical engineering controls. 

  • Enable federated engineering and delivery teams through shared platforms, services and guardrails that reduce duplication and improve consistency. 

 

 

Your Capability and Experience

  • Solid experience in spanning software engineering, platform engineering, AI (including GenAI and Machine Learning), model operations, technology risk or technology delivery within large enterprise environments. 

  • Proven experience in designing, building or operating AI platforms, model governance capabilities, monitoring frameworks or enterprise control platforms in production environments. 

  • Strong understanding of AI lifecycle management, model governance, model monitoring, evaluation frameworks and AI risk management. 

  • Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise controls, assurance capabilities and monitoring frameworks through technology platforms. 

  • Experience supporting governance and oversight of both internally developed and third-party AI solutions. 

  • Strong stakeholder management across engineering, data science, risk, governance and executive teams. 

  • Hands-on engineering mindset with proven ability to translate governance and policy requirements into scalable operational controls. 

  • Proven ability to balance innovation, delivery speed and effective control outcomes while enabling responsible AI adoption. 

  • Passion for building enterprise control infrastructure that enables safe, scalable and sustainable AI adoption., scalable and sustainable AI adoption.
