Director of Technology - Business Technology

Job Description

The Director of Technology – Business Technology leads Domain’s core business technology platforms through a period of significant transformation following acquisition by a global parent company. The role is accountable for maintaining operational excellence while shaping the future role, capability and value of the Business Technology function as key platforms migrate to global capabilities.

Success requires a hands-on technology leader who can move between executive-level conversations and detailed system, data, integration and operational matters. This role will create clarity through uncertainty, influence local and global stakeholders, protect service continuity and prepare the team to deliver in the future-state environment.

What you’ll do

  • Own Salesforce, trade and booking platforms, billing systems, finance systems and IT Operations as one integrated Business Technology function.

  • Accountable for operational performance, service reliability, incident response, vendor management and business continuity across the portfolio.

  • Lead the function through platform migrations to global capabilities while defining the team’s future operating model, mandate and capability requirements.

  • Lead the migration of local business platforms to global capability, including sequencing, risk management, cutover planning and continuity of service.

  • Balance short-term operational stability with the longer-term strategic roadmap and future-state technology landscape.

  • Influence global platform, architecture and delivery decisions so local business requirements, operational risk and customer impacts are understood and addressed.

  • Develop and execute change, communication and engagement strategies across technology teams, business leaders, end users, vendors and global parent.

What you’ll have

  • Proven experience leading a complex, multi-system Business Technology function rather than a single-platform specialist role; ideally including Salesforce, revenue or billing platforms, finance systems and IT Operations.

  • Direct experience leading teams through M&A integration, platform migration, global technology consolidation or parent-company operating model transition.

  • Strong change leadership capability, including stakeholder engagement, communications, organisational readiness, adoption planning and embedding new ways of working.

Why join us?

  • The opportunity to partner with executive peers across both Domain and the wider CoStar Group network, digitising the future of real estate on a global stage.

  • Access to executive leadership development and global learning opportunities.

  • Enjoy a high-performing, values-led culture where you'll have the autonomy to influence strategy and drive meaningful outcomes.

  • Exposure to enterprise-wide transformation and strategic business initiatives that shape the future of the organisation.

  • Access to Perkbox, giving you discounts across healthcare, entertainment, food, utilities and more;
