Who are we looking for?

Due to the successful establishment of our UK GHD Data Advisory & Infrastructure team, we are seeking Expressions of Interest for Executive Advisor's - Data & Insights to join our GHD’s Data & Insights Advisory team in Australia.  
In these roles you will shape, win and lead major client engagements, build repeatable advisory offerings, and grow high-performing teams aligned to GHD’s engineering and infrastructure strengths.

Working with a high-performing, globally connected team, you will:

  • Lead and grow executive-level client relationships, positioning GHD as a trusted advisor for data, digital and AI-enabled transformation across infrastructure sectors.
  • Shape and convert opportunities into funded work and multi-year programs, aligned to market demand and GHD’s core services.
  • Act as Project Director / Executive Delivery Lead on major engagements, accountable for client outcomes, quality, and commercial performance.
  • Provide executive and technical oversight to multidisciplinary teams, setting clear direction across strategy, architecture, delivery and value realisation.
  • Translate complex technical, commercial and organisational challenges into clear decisions for senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the growth and performance of the Data & Insights practice, including offer development, business planning, pipeline management and performance reviews.
  • Build, mentor and retain high-trust teams, supporting recruitment, capability uplift and clear progression pathways.
     

What you will bring to the team:

  • 20+ years’ experience with a strong track record in data, digital and analytics-led transformation, ideally within infrastructure or asset-intensive environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading executive client accounts, converting trusted relationships into sustained work programs.
  • Proven capability in shaping strategy, business cases and roadmaps across data, analytics, AI and digital advisory.
  • Strong leadership experience building and mentoring teams, with a focus on capability development and inclusive culture.
  • Clear, confident communication and presentation skills, including at board and executive level.
  • Experience reviewing, overseeing and producing high-quality executive-ready deliverables (reports, dashboards and presentations).
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience balancing work winning, delivery excellence and sustainable growth.
  • A demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity, acting as a role model and leader of positive change.
     

Preferable experience in:

  • Data & AI strategy, including user research, operating models, roadmaps and business case development
  • Data governance, ownership, standards, lineage and compliance
  • Data foundations and architecture, including cloud platforms, data management and security
  • Data integration, data quality and modern DataOps / MLOps practices
  • Decision intelligence, including BI, self-service analytics, ML, AI and GenAI
  • Infrastructure sectors such as transport, water, energy, utilities or urban development
