Job Description

About the Role 

Primary Purpose:Develop deep commercial relationships with key stakeholders (Employers and Industry bodies) to continue to grow Rest and deliver effective workplace strategies to advise, educate and engage
members."

Your Purpose: Deliver high-quality, compliant superannuation, insurance and retirement advice to Rest members (and families), while building strong partnerships with employers and industry bodies to support workplace engagement and growth. 

As a Financial Adviser (Authorised Representative), you provide member-first advice across intra-fund and non-intra-fund services, in line with the agreed advice proposition and regulatory requirements under your authorisation with MUFG Pty Ltd. You engage members via phone, video and (where practical) face-to-face, guiding the end-to-end advice journey from first contact through to advice delivery and implementation support. You build trust quickly, personalise the experience, and help members make informed decisions in their best interests.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality intra-fund and non-intra-fund advice that meets regulatory and advice proposition requirements.
  • Identify member needs and tailor the right advice pathway and level of service.
  • Engage members via phone, video and face-to-face meetings (including employer sites where required) and support advice implementation.
  • Prepare clear, accurate Statements of Advice and maintain complete records and administration obligations.
  • Operate within AFSL requirements and the Rest Financial Planner Manual, always acting in the member’s best interests.
  • Partner in seminars and proactive campaigns with internal teams to educate and engage members.
  • Use Rest’s advice technology effectively and contribute improvement ideas to enhance the member experience.
  • Maintain professional currency through ongoing training, and mentor/support Intra-fund and Associate Advisers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Financial Planning qualifications (must meet all FASEA requirements)
  • Have completed the required Professional Year
  • Maintained CPD in accordance with your qualification
  • Currently on ASIC Adviser Register

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Prior experience as a financial planner
  • Experience in customer service with a focus on understanding customer needs and a commitment to deliver outstanding customer outcomes
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to articulate the value of personal financial advice in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Exposure to financial planning software
