The Purpose

As an FP&A Analyst at AP+, you'll play an important role in supporting our Finance Business Partners with financial analysis, reporting and insights that help the business make better decisions. You'll work across budgeting, forecasting, financial reviews, business cases and commercial activity, turning financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. You'll also build strong relationships across the business and contribute to improving the way we understand and manage performance.

Key Responsibilities the Role Owns:

• Prepare and report on budgeting, forecasting and financial business reviews, with a focus on AP+ profitability drivers.
• Analyse financial and operational performance, identify variances and trends, and translate business activity into clear financial impacts and insights.
• Support commercial agreements, business cases and decision-making by providing accurate financial analysis and supporting information.
• Partner with operational business teams and Finance Business Partners to understand business needs and provide practical financial support.
• Maintain strong financial controls and support compliance with finance policies, technical accounting, tax and treasury requirements.
• Deliver clear, actionable financial insights and contribute to continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting and analysis.

The capabilities needed to be successful for this role are:

• Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline, with up to 3 years of experience in a similar finance role. CPA/CA qualified or working towards qualification.
• Financial Analysis: Confidence working with financial data, interpreting financial metrics and turning analysis into practical insights for decision-making.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Experience supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, analysing results and communicating budget or forecast information to stakeholders.
• Cost Management & Controls: Ability to monitor and report on costs, identify variances and support cost-saving initiatives, alongside a sound understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
• Risk Management & Stakeholder Partnership: Basic understanding of financial risk management, with strong communication and relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across the business.
• Industry Insight: Knowledge of payments technology, IT systems and financial services is advantageous, alongside an interest in understanding how industry and market dynamics influence business performance.
