About the opportunity 

Teads Australia Pty Ltd is hiring a Head of Design, APAC who is responsible for planning, designing, and developing digitally delivered multimedia content and creative solutions across the APAC region. The role combines strategic creative leadership with hands-on multimedia design expertise, actively contributing to the execution and development of attention-driven creative solutions across interactive, motion and special effects formats. This includes designing and developing Connected TV, Rich Media inRead video, display and interactive creatives, as well as exploring and implementing new creative technologies, formats and production approaches.

The role works closely with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, insights, data, and campaign management to define design objectives, develop creative concepts, produce multimedia assets, and oversee production workflows within the design team. The position also provides creative leadership and guidance to regional designers, ensuring all work meets professional communication, functional and aesthetic standards while adhering to the brand guidelines.

What will you do?

Omnichannel Campaign Strategy, Design and Delivery

  • Partner with internal teams, agencies and clients to define objectives and requirements for omnichannel campaign briefs across formats including Connected TV, inRead video, display and interactive creatives.
  • Develop campaign concepts and visual approaches through storyboards, layouts and prototypes, translating campaign messaging into motion, interactive and special creative formats.
  • Select and recommend appropriate formats, media and creative approaches based on campaign objectives, audience insights and platform capabilities.
  • Hands-on design and development of campaign assets using professional creative tools such as Adobe suite, actively contributing to execution across motion, interactive and special formats.
  • Lead and actively contribute to campaign production from concept through delivery, ensuring high-quality execution, consistency and adherence to technical and brand standards.

Client Strategy and Engagement

  • Contribute creative direction and campaign concepts for sales pitches, key accounts and strategic client opportunities.
  • Lead creative workshops, presentations and consultations with agencies and clients across the ANZ market.
  • Represent Teads Studio as a creative specialist in agency engagements, industry events and client discussions.

Creative Leadership

  • Provide hands-on creative leadership and direction to APAC multimedia designers such as graphic designers and motion designers, contributing directly to complex design work while maintaining high creative standards across campaign executions.
  • Act as a senior creative specialist and mentor, elevating team capability through guidance on design thinking, motion, interactive formats and emerging creative technologies.
  • Support the VP of Studio, APAC in managing workflows, prioritising projects and assigning design tasks to ensure timely delivery across multiple campaigns.
  • Lead and manage with motion designer(s) to develop scalable motion templates and creative frameworks, enabling advanced formats such as special effects and 3D across omnichannel campaigns, while owning end-to-end execution from concept to delivery.

Strategic Resources, Research and Product Development

  • Conduct research and analyse campaign performance, market trends and platform capabilities to inform creative strategies and product development.
  • Develop creative resources, playbooks, toolkits and strategic materials to support sales teams and improve studio efficiency.
  • Lead and collaborate to the development of new creative formats, technologies and AI-driven solutions, exploring innovative approaches to enhance campaign performance and studio capabilities.
  • Document and maintain creative resources and campaign learnings to support future projects and internal knowledge sharing.

About You

  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in digital campaign design across omnichannel advertising formats including Connected TV and rich media interactive creatives.
  • Advanced proficiency in professional creative and motion design software.
  • Strong ability to translate campaign briefs into effective visual concepts and digital creative solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, insights, data, and campaign managment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience leading creative workshops and client discussions.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring designers and guiding creative output.
