About the roleWe are looking for a Head of Growth to join our Growth team in Sydney.
Growth at Stake is about far more than acquisition. It's how we decide where to invest, which opportunities matter most and how we create long-term value for customers and the business. The Growth team sits at the centre of those decisions, connecting customer behaviour, commercial performance and product strategy into a system designed to compound over time.
As Head of Growth, you'll define how Stake thinks about growth. You'll build the frameworks, operating rhythms and commercial discipline that guide investment decisions across acquisition, lifecycle, product and customer engagement. You'll help the business understand where value is created, how to allocate resources effectively and which opportunities have the greatest potential to drive long-term outcomes.
This is one of the most influential leadership roles in the company. You'll partner closely with leaders across Product, Engineering, Brand, Data and Finance while shaping decisions that influence Stake's growth trajectory for years to come. We work hybrid spending 3 days in our beautiful, dog-friendly Sydney office.
What success looks likeWithin your first two years at Stake, you will have:
- Built a growth engine that consistently compounds customer and business value over time.
- Established clear commercial frameworks that guide investment decisions across acquisition, lifecycle and product growth initiatives.
- Embedded customer economics, cohort performance and long-term value creation into how Stake evaluates opportunities and allocates capital.
- Scaled Stake Super into a meaningful and predictable growth driver with strong unit economics and repeatable conversion pathways.
- Created a world-class measurement and attribution capability that improves decision-making across the organisation.
- Built strong alignment between Brand, Product, Engineering, Data and Finance around a shared understanding of growth and customer value.
- Developed a high-performing team that combines analytical rigour, commercial judgement and operational excellence.
- Elevated the commercial sophistication of the business, helping teams make better decisions about customer value, growth investment and long-term outcomes.
- You've owned meaningful commercial outcomes and have a track record of translating strategy into measurable business performance.
- You think like both an operator and an investor, balancing ambition with disciplined capital allocation.
- You're highly analytical and comfortable using customer, behavioural and financial data to influence decisions.
- You can move seamlessly between executive-level strategy and operational execution.
- You build alignment across diverse teams, creating clarity and momentum around complex problems.
- You develop high-performing teams that raise the standard for thinking, accountability and execution.
- Scaled growth within fintech, investing, superannuation or another regulated industry.
- Built growth systems around high-value customer actions with longer payback horizons.
- Partnered closely with CFOs, executive teams or boards on investment and capital allocation decisions.
- Led acquisition, lifecycle and product growth functions within the same organisation.
- Built customer value or cohort-based operating models that influenced company-wide decision-making.
