The Purpose:
The Identity & Access Engineer will assist in implementing identity and access management practices to ensure the right people have the right access to AP+ systems and data, reducing security risk and enabling secure business operations.

The core accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Configure, support, and maintain Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) platforms to ensure reliable identity lifecycle management.
  • Integrate applications, directories, HR systems, and cloud platforms with enterprise identity services.
  • Implement and manage automated provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management workflows.
  • Configure and maintain role-based access controls, birthright access, access policies, and segregation of duties (SoD) controls.
  • Support access reviews, certification campaigns, audits, compliance activities, and regulatory evidence requests.
  • Investigate and resolve identity lifecycle, provisioning, reconciliation, and identity data quality issues.
  • Onboard privileged, administrator, service, and shared accounts into Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Configure PAM capabilities including password rotation, credential vaulting, session monitoring, and access checkout policies.
  • Support least-privilege and just-in-time (JIT) access models, including discovery and remediation of unmanaged privileged accounts.
  • Develop operational documentation and runbooks, support change and incident management processes, and collaborate with security, infrastructure, cloud, application, and risk teams

Success in this role requires demonstrated capability in the following areas:

  • Tertiary qualification in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant Identity and Access Management (IAM) certifications highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting IAM and/or Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities within complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience supporting audits, risk assessments, and control uplift initiatives relating to identity and access management.
  • Strong understanding of IAM principles and technologies, including Identity Governance, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), PAM, RBAC/ABAC, and least-privilege access models.
  • Working knowledge of security risk management practices, industry standards, and relevant regulatory and compliance obligations.
