About the role

An exciting opportunity to be part of Perpetual Asset Management as an Investment Operations Analyst. You will be ensuring the quality, accuracy and timelines of Perpetual's investment data.

Perpetual Asset Management is a global multi-boutique asset management business offering an extensive range of specialist investment capabilities through seven boutiques and brands in key regions globally. Within Australia, Perpetual and Pendal have a broad range of capabilities across Australian and global equities, credit, fixed income, multi-asset and ESG. We have a growing presence in the US, UK and Europe through our brands Barrow Hanley, Trillium, JO Hambro, Regnan and TSW.

About the role

As an Investment Operations Analyst at Perpetual, you will:

  • Maintain enterprise-wide investment and portfolio data across Equities, Fixed Income and Diversified teams.

  • Perform daily portfolio reconciliations between front and back-office systems for all Perpetual portfolios.

  • Resolve any outstanding reconciliation, trade flow or static data exceptions, including escalation to third party service providers where appropriate.

  • Proactive risk identification and management of risk issues.

  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of transaction instructions to external and internal parties.

  • Effectively resolve all queries on transactions within the required timeframes.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications with a financial discipline or science/math background.

  • Demonstrated experience in an Investment Operations/Middle Office role within a financial service organisation.

  • Solid understanding of investment securities across different asset classes

  • Familiarity with OTC securities, corporate actions and trade matching preferable.  FX, derivatives and domestic/ foreign investments from a market and accounting perspective

  • Evidence of process improvements/project implementation

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Familiarity with SQL and VBA highly regarded.

  • Experience with relevant industry specific systems e.g. Bloomberg, Charles River
