What you’ll do
As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our DevOps team by automating and streamlining the CI/CD processes. You will work closely with senior engineers to learn and apply industry best practices in Application CI/CD and Infrastructure as code (IaC).
Due to the secure nature of this role, Australian citizens with a security clearance will be preferred.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and JFrog Artifactory
- Contribute to the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security scanning and testing tools into the CI/CD pipelines
- Learn and apply scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash to automate routine tasks
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues within the CI/CD pipelines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends and technologies
Here’s what you need
- Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash)
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible) will be highly regarded
- Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
