Your Team

The Financial Crime Operations team provides Financial Crime and Fraud Management services for Colonial First State, its clients and customers.  The team is organised with clear accountability, increased transparency of risks, appropriate level of stature and a culture that encourages independent and effective challenge.  
 


Your Responsibilities

The role of Manager - Financial Crime Intelligence, KYC Remediation & QA will support the Executive Director - Financial Crime Operations to drive operational excellence in a highly regulated, fast paced operational environment. Your contribution will include the management of a team of 2 - 4 analysts responsible for executing the Group's KYC remediation activity and will bring together four connected functions under one accountability.


  • Operate an ongoing independent quality assurance function across the FCO teams (Transaction Monitoring, Customer Screening, ECDD, KYC Remediation, SMR regulatory reporting), assessing the quality of alert/case dispositioning, escalations and submissions to regulators.
  • Conduct regular QA sampling at defined volumes and adhere to minimum QA volume expectations.
  • Drive improvements in FCO quality control by ensuring adherence to QA Guidelines.
  • Own and execute the KYC remediation program, outreach, refresh and ICDD/OCDD remediation activity, ensuring customer records meet current regulatory and policy requirements under the AML/CTF Act 2006 (Cth) as amended.
  • Obtain, complete and maintain all KYC documentation for customers in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Gather required KYC regulatory documentation via internal systems, external public searches and customer outreach and refresh processes.
  • Collaborate with other areas of the business to gather Customer Due Diligence information and evidence required to refresh a client’s KYC in line with documented policy.
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy across all stages of the customer KYC review and remediation lifecycle, ensuring evidence is captured to an audit-ready standard.
  • Identify systemic issues in onboarding ICDD execution and partner with the front line, Onboarding, Operations, Risk and Compliance to drive remediation, process change and capability uplift.

 


Your Capability and Experience

  • Proven financial crime management experience within financial services (strong domain experience).
  • Prior knowledge of operating a Financial Crime Intelligence function is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing or leading KYC remediation programs, including customer outreach, refresh and ICDD/OCDD uplift activity.
  • Demonstrated experience operating or leading a financial crime Quality Assurance function across Transaction Monitoring, Customer Screening, ECDD and SMR reporting.
  • Deep and broad technical knowledge of the AML/CTF Act, Transaction Monitoring, Customer Screening, KYC/CDD (ICDD, OCDD, ECDD), PEPs, Sanctions, ABC and Fraud risk management environments.
  • Analytical, tenacious and determined attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Strong execution focus - delivering on commitments.
