Who are we looking for?
We’re seeking a motivated and results-driven Marketing and Communications Advisor to join our NSW/ACT team, based in Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Wollongong or any of our regional NSW offices in a 12-month parental leave cover position.

This role is ideal for an experienced marketing and communications professional who thrives in fast paced environments, enjoys working with varied stakeholders and is energised by delivering high‑impact events and campaigns.

You will play a pivotal role in enhancing GHD’s brand presence and engagement across the region — leading GHD-created events, managing conference sponsorships, and supporting strategic marketing initiatives.

Working with an energetic and high-performing team, you will:

  • Collaborate with team members across the APAC marketing team to develop and deliver marketing campaigns aligned to strategic growth and work winning objectives in the NSW/ACT region
  • Plan and deliver bespoke events, including logistics, stakeholder engagement, supplier coordination and post-event follow-up.

  • Manage regional conference sponsorships and industry memberships, ensuring ROI and strategic alignment.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to secure speaking opportunities and develop content and social media plans that elevate GHD’s reputation.
  • Develop regional content including project case studies, award submissions, and social media announcements.
  • Support internal communications for project and people stories.
  • Use Salesforce and other marketing systems to track activities and measure impact.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Between 5 and 8 years’ experience in marketing, with proven expertise in event management and sponsorships.
  • A collaborative, client-first mindset with adaptability, curiosity, initiative and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, with Salesforce experience preferred.

This is a 12-month parental leave cover position, and we’re open to discussing full-time or part-time options (minimum 0.8 FTE).
