At The Missing Link, we don't just keep up with the pace of technology, we set it. With 28+ years of innovation, a team of 200+ specialists, and the backing of global powerhouse Infosys, we have become one of Australia's most awarded IT providers.

We help businesses move faster with cutting-edge Cyber Security, IT & Cloud, and AI & Automation solutions. And we're growing fast. If you want to work where ambition meets opportunity, you've found your place.

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced B2B events marketer who thrives on creating exceptional experiences that deliver real business results?

We're looking for a Marketing Events Manager to own and grow The Missing Link's national events programme across Cyber Security, IT & Cloud, and AI & Automation.

This is a newly created, hands-on individual contributor role with full ownership of the events function. You'll have the opportunity to shape the strategy, influence investment decisions and build a national events programme that directly supports pipeline growth, executive engagement and client relationships.

You'll lead a diverse mix of executive roundtables, hosted client events, conferences, trade shows, webinars, corporate hospitality and strategic partner activations. You'll work closely with enterprise clients, senior decision-makers and some of the world's leading technology vendors, including partner-funded initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes.

Backed by the scale and resources of Infosys, this is a rare opportunity to own an events programme from strategy through to execution while helping shape how one of Australia's leading technology services companies engages its market.

* This role includes occasional interstate travel and out-of-hours event delivery.

What you will be doing:
  • Own and manage the national events strategy and annual events calendar.
  • Deliver executive roundtables, client events, conferences, trade shows, webinars and corporate hospitality programmes.
  • Build event briefs, budgets, success measures and delivery plans.
  • Manage end-to-end event delivery, including suppliers, venues, speakers, logistics and onsite execution.
  • Partner with Sales, SDRs and Strategic Alliances to identify target accounts, priority clients and event opportunities.
  • Coordinate audience acquisition and event promotion with the Campaigns, Content and Design teams, rather than owning all marketing activity directly.
  • Work with Content and Design to repurpose event content into ongoing marketing and sales assets that extend the value of each event.
  • Collaborate with major technology vendors on co-funded events and MDF initiatives.
  • Ensure attendee data, lead handover and follow-up activities are completed through HubSpot and agreed sales processes.
  • Track and report on attendance, pipeline, revenue and ROI.
  • Review performance and make recommendations on which events should be stopped, improved or scaled based on commercial impact and business priorities.

RequirementsWhat you bring:
  • 5+ years' experience in B2B event marketing, field marketing or event management.
  • Proven experience delivering conferences, webinars, client events and executive engagements.
  • Strong project management, budgeting and event execution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, suppliers and priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of pipeline, revenue and event ROI.
  • Experience using CRM and marketing platforms to manage registrations, leads and reporting.

Highly regarded:
  • Experience in technology, cyber security or IT services.
  • HubSpot experience.
  • Exposure to vendor partnerships and MDF programs.
  • Experience delivering account-based or executive-level events.
  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Events, Communications or Business.
What's in it for you:
  • Full ownership of a newly created national events function with the freedom to shape its direction and success.
  • The opportunity to deliver high-profile events for enterprise clients, senior executives and key decision-makers.
  • Direct exposure to leading global technology vendors and strategic partner programmes.
  • A highly visible role with a direct impact on pipeline generation, customer engagement and business growth.
  • The backing, scale and career opportunities that come from being part of an Infosys-owned organisation.
  • Ongoing learning, development and career growth opportunities.

If you're passionate about creating exceptional experiences, building strong relationships and delivering events that drive real business results, apply now!
