About the role

We are looking for a Marketing Manager - New Zealand to join our Marketing team in Sydney.

New Zealand is an important growth market for Stake and a place where we see significant opportunity to deepen our connection with customers, strengthen our brand and inspire a new generation of investors. This role sits at the centre of that opportunity. You'll help shape how Stake shows up in market and how we earn a larger role in the investing journeys of ambitious New Zealanders.

You'll combine customer insight, creative thinking and commercial judgement to build awareness, drive growth and strengthen engagement. Working across brand, partnerships, PR, lifecycle and growth initiatives, you'll help create marketing that feels locally relevant while contributing to Stake's broader ambition and momentum.

This is a role with meaningful ownership and visibility. You'll work closely with teams across Australia and New Zealand, influence strategy, test new ideas and help define Stake's next chapter in the market. We work hybrid spending 3 days in our beautiful, dog-friendly Sydney office.

What success looks like

Within your first two years, you'll have:

  • Significantly strengthened Stake's position in New Zealand, driving sustained growth in brand awareness, customer acquisition and engagement
  • Become a trusted voice on the New Zealand market, translating customer insights and cultural understanding into impactful marketing initiatives
  • Delivered campaigns, partnerships and growth programs that create measurable commercial outcomes and strengthen Stake's connection with customers
  • Built a marketing engine that balances long-term brand building with disciplined performance and growth
  • Established strong media, agency and industry relationships that amplify Stake's presence and credibility in market
  • Ensured Stake's marketing feels distinctly local while remaining connected to the broader brand and business strategy
  • Identified new opportunities for growth and expansion, helping unlock Stake's next stage of growth in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated the commercial impact of marketing through clear measurement, strong prioritisation and continuous optimisation
You'll thrive here if…
  • You're commercially minded and enjoy connecting marketing activity to measurable business outcomes
  • You combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and enjoy turning ideas into action
  • You're naturally curious about customers, markets and culture and use those insights to create better experiences and campaigns
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high and priorities evolve quickly
  • You're a strong communicator who builds alignment across teams and brings people together around shared goals
  • You have a bias for action, enjoy experimentation and use data to continuously improve outcomes
Bonus if you've ever
  • Helped launch or scale a consumer brand in New Zealand
  • Worked in fintech, investing, financial services or another regulated industry
  • Led integrated campaigns spanning brand, PR, partnerships and digital channels
  • Built strategic partnerships that delivered meaningful growth or brand impact
  • Worked closely with product, growth or customer teams to improve acquisition, engagement or retention
