Why this role matters

New Zealand is a strategically important market for Stake, with significant opportunities to grow our brand, deepen customer engagement and attract a new generation of investors.

As Marketing Manager – New Zealand, you'll play a central role in shaping how Stake shows up in the market. You'll combine customer insight, creative thinking and commercial acumen to build awareness, drive growth and strengthen our connection with ambitious New Zealanders.

This is a broad role with meaningful ownership. You'll lead local marketing initiatives across campaigns, partnerships, PR and growth, while working closely with teams across Australia and New Zealand to deliver measurable business impact.

You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, test new ideas and help define Stake's next chapter in New Zealand.

What you'll do
  • Drive Stake's growth story in New Zealand, helping establish us as the investing platform of choice for ambitious New Zealanders.
  • Develop and execute the local marketing strategy, balancing long-term brand building with measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Discover customer insights, market trends and emerging opportunities that influence both marketing strategy and broader business decisions.
  • Launch campaigns, partnerships and initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, accelerate customer growth and deepen engagement.
  • Build Stake's profile in New Zealand through compelling storytelling, media opportunities and strategic relationships.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure customers experience a consistent and compelling Stake journey from first impression through to long-term advocacy.
  • Manage marketing investment with strong commercial discipline, focusing resources on the initiatives that create the greatest impact.
  • Establish clear performance measures and use data to continuously optimise marketing effectiveness.
  • Act as a key voice for the New Zealand market, helping Stake identify new opportunities for growth and expansion.
What success looks like
  • Stake has significantly strengthened its position in New Zealand, with sustained growth in brand awareness, customer acquisition and engagement.
  • You've become the local marketing expert for the market, bringing deep customer insight and translating it into high-impact campaigns, partnerships and initiatives.
  • Stake's marketing activity in New Zealand feels distinctly local while remaining connected to the broader brand and business strategy.
  • You've built a strong network of media, agency and industry relationships that help amplify Stake's presence and credibility.
  • Marketing is recognised as a key contributor to business growth in New Zealand, with clear evidence of the impact your work has had on customer and commercial outcomes.
  • You've identified and executed new growth opportunities that have helped unlock Stake's next stage of expansion in the market.
You'll thrive here if…
  • You're commercially minded and enjoy connecting marketing activity to measurable business outcomes.
  • You're equally comfortable thinking strategically and rolling up your sleeves to make things happen.
  • You're naturally curious about customers, markets and culture, and use those insights to create better marketing.
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where ownership is high and priorities evolve quickly.
  • You're a strong communicator who can build alignment across teams and bring people together around a shared objective.
  • You have a bias for action and enjoy testing, learning and refining ideas based on what drives impact.
Bonus if you've ever…
  • Helped launch or scale a consumer brand in New Zealand.
  • Worked in fintech, investing, financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Led integrated campaigns across brand, PR, partnerships and digital channels.
  • Built strategic partnerships that delivered measurable growth or brand impact.
  • Worked closely with product, growth or customer teams to influence customer experience and retention.

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
