What this opportunity involves:

As Marketing Manager for World Square, you'll lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies that elevate one of Sydney's most dynamic retail precincts. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees, and in this role, you'll be at the forefront of creating compelling brand experiences that resonate with diverse audiences. You'll oversee everything from annual campaign planning and pop-up retail activations to digital marketing, PR, and community engagement initiatives.

Working closely with the World Square Management Team, clients IFM Real Estate Fiduciary Pty Ltd and AWPF Management No 2 Pty Ltd, and key precinct stakeholders, you'll ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints while driving measurable results. This position offers the opportunity to blend strategic thinking with creative execution, managing budgets, conducting market research, supporting retailers, and representing World Square at high-level meetings and events. What sets JLL apart is our culture of collaboration, locally and across the globe, and you'll leverage this network to deliver innovative marketing solutions that drive foot traffic, conversion, and sales for retailers while strengthening World Square's position as a premier retail destination.

An overview of the role:

  • Develop and deliver the annual World Square marketing and communications strategy, including campaigns, events, digital marketing, PR, research, reporting, community engagement, and retailer support initiatives.

  • Lead the World Square Pop-Up Retail and Activations strategy, managing all aspects from planning through execution and performance analysis.

  • Oversee brand management for World Square, ensuring the brandmark and guidelines are accurately represented across every touchpoint and consulting with departments to maintain consistency in brand positioning.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key precinct stakeholders, including City of Sydney Council, Committee for Sydney, neighboring properties, and major retailers, representing World Square at meetings and events.

  • Direct retailer support initiatives by developing and maintaining relationships throughout the precinct, attending leasing meetings, and working with opening retailers on hoarding execution and launch strategies.

  • Manage market research and analysis to deliver insights on World Square's diverse demographic, including local residents, international and domestic students, CBD workers, and Asian demographics.

  • Oversee the Marketing Budget (promotional fund), including forecasting, reforecasting, reconciling, and managing purchase order and invoicing processes.

  • Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for clients, including marketing and pop-up retail performance measures with ROI analysis.

  • Conduct daily centre walks to manage asset presentation, focusing on branding, installations, and signage while ensuring adherence to risk management and OH&S policies.

Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, preferably within retail, property, or shopping centre environments.

  • Proven track record in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies with measurable ROI outcomes.

  • Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, brand management, and PR across multiple channels.

  • Strong budget management experience, including forecasting, financial reconciliation, and vendor management.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience in stakeholder management and building productive relationships with clients, retailers, and cross-functional teams.

Benefits:

  • Great employee discounts off fitness, wellbeing & other renowned brands

  • 18 weeks paid maternity leave

  • Private Health Insurance Discounts

  • Active Social Club

  • Employee assistant program

  • Novated Lease for EV cars

  • Paid time off for volunteer work

  • Career Opportunities with Australia's #1 Commercial Real Estate firm
