A Snapshot
As Payroll Accountant based in our HQ in North Sydney, you will report to Senior Manager, Finance and work closely with the various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Supporting the Finance team in relation to payroll processes and other ad-hoc assignments as required by P&C around payroll matters
- Work closely with Payroll Compliance & Governance Manager to support end-to-end payroll process
- Be instrumental in helping AirTrunk defining leading practice and driving out key improvements through simplification and standardisation
- As a growth position within a dynamic and entrepreneurial business, the general nature and level of work within this role is designed to progress as opportunities arise
Your Day to Day
- Integration of payroll data into ERP system
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Payroll banking file uploads
- Handle payroll provisions and capitalised salaries Work with Payroll Manager to maintain accurate data and system changes within ERP system
- Assist with month-end and payroll reporting
- Analysis of payroll data for purposes of budget vs actual and other reporting requirements
- Liaise with People & Culture team on payroll matters and assist with any payroll reporting and analysis required
- Assist with regular auditing of payroll systems, practices, policies and standard operating procedures and develop a risk register to assess, record, mitigate and remediate errors or exposure to risk
- Assist with all payroll audit requirements
- Assist with improving and implementing payroll governance controls
- Assistance with other ad hoc projects and duties as required
Requirements
- A minimum of 4-5 years’ relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail, highly organised, exceptional attitude
- Ability to problem solve and multi-task
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
