- Act as the primary People Business Partner for assigned business units, serving as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing pragmatic, value-added people solutions aligned with business strategy and local priorities.
- Partner with business leaders and fellow PBPs to understand organizational needs, co-create tailored people initiatives, and ensure alignment with global People strategy and evolving workforce requirements.
- Implement and execute People strategies, programs, processes, and tools, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, union agreements, and company policies while supporting leaders in people-related decision-making.
- Manage labor relations and employee relations matters, including collaboration with unions and employee representatives, handling consultations, and resolving complex employee issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner.
- Drive talent development and organizational capability building, supporting internal mobility, succession planning, and upskilling/reskilling initiatives to enable future-ready organizations.
- Lead organizational change and transformation initiatives in response to business needs, including workforce planning, organizational design, and site or structure-related changes.
- Guide leaders in living company values, purpose, and ethical standards, contributing to a positive employee experience and investigating and addressing potential policy or Code of Business Ethics violations.
- Collaborate closely with global and regional People teams to ensure effective implementation of global strategies while adapting to local market and regulatory requirements.
- Report directly to the Head of People, based in the Korea office, ensuring close alignment on local People priorities and strategic initiatives.
The Skills You Bring
- 7-10 years of HR / People Business Partner experience in a global, matrixed organization; experience in Korea is required.
- Strong knowledge of Korean labor law and employee relations, including hands-on experience working with unions or employee representatives.
- Solid understanding of core HR practices and processes, with experience partnering across the People function and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into people solutions and support organizational change and capability building.
- Change-oriented mindset, comfortable driving culture and organizational transformation in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong execution, judgment, and prioritization skills, able to make fact-based and ethical decisions and deliver results.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills, with cultural sensitivity and influence at multiple levels.
- Data- and insight-driven, with working knowledge of People analytics and strong Excel skills.
