The Project & Opportunity:
HumeLink East involves the expansion of the existing Bannaby 500 kV substation, along with the design and construction of 230km of new 500 kV double circuit transmission line. This new transmission line will connect the Bannaby 500 kV substation at the Wondalga interface point with HumeLink West.

For this project, we are looking for a Place Manager & a Senior Stakeholder & Community Engagement Advisor for our Goulburn & Tumut locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to support project design and construction delivery.

  • Lead a small team of  stakeholder engagement advisors to deliver best practice stakeholder engagement and community relations.

  • Identify opportunities for stakeholder partnerships that enable transformative stakeholder experiences and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with project team members to provide timely and transparent information to stakeholders, including information sessions, briefings, email and the community information phone.

  • Be a point of contact for the community and ensure the availability, relevance, and currency of the information available to project stakeholders.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Degree or TAFE certificate in communications, community engagement, consultation, public relations or media, particularly within a government or services environment. iAP2 Certificate of Engagement qualifications are advantageous.

  • Solid experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, consultation, public relations or media.

  • Experience working with technical concepts and/or construction teams on large-scale infrastructure projects

  • A Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)

  • Solutions-focused problem-solving and the ability to remain flexible as priorities change or evolve
