Position Overview
Do you want to help creative professionals in film and games achieve their artistic vision? Our Experience Design (XD) Team is part of Autodesk's Entertainment and Media Solutions (EMS) group. This group creates award-winning desktop and cloud software for the media & entertainment industries.
You are an overall product design expert with deep web, desktop, mobile and TVOS expertise. You are obsessed with breaking new creative ground through crafting the best ideas and telling the best stories of their kind.
This hybrid/remote role can be based in any city in New Zealand. Our offices are in Auckland, New Zealand. This position reports to the Director of Experience Design for Media & Entertainment.
Responsibilities

Design simple, elegant, data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight users

Define the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design

Build functional prototypes to validate and test your designs

Look for opportunities to solve problems in unique and innovative ways

Help maintain visual and brand consistency across all products

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business goals into unique product experiences

Create deliverables for the groups you support. For example, competitive evaluations, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, journey maps, storyboards, design vision, and so on

Help define the vision and execution of solving real user problems through the user experience

Lead and coach iteration of design work within the validation track for your groups

Actively contribute to the Design Systems, help determine whether components are single-use or multi-use, and provide recommendations to designers regarding new component requests

Participate in Design Reviews and model best practices for giving and receiving feedback
Minimum Qualifications
-
You are an experience UX Designer with 8+ years' experience in UX Design

You will convey design ideas via sketches, storyboards, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, or animations

You are a Figma Wizard

You are a full-stack designer; you work from concept to final pixel

You are a skilled storyteller and conceptor with experience working in a multidisciplinary environment to develop concepts that delight customers and deliver business results

You possess not just exceptional product design skills but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking

Your work demonstrates high-quality design work that also tells a story that you are a deep design thinker

You have strong information presentation - visual and written - skills

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
