Job Description

The Product Engineer will be working together with the Technical Manager and Category Managers to develop product management skills and to support the Technical Manager in managing the strategic product programs and product support. This will include providing support providing warranty support and administer warranty claims, assisting in product procurement and product development activities and inspecting products to assess quality and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to monitor product performance and identify any recurring issues.

  • Handle warranty claims by liaising with customers, suppliers, and the quality team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any quality-related issues, ensuring products meet high reliability standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing warranty claims, enhancing product quality, and boosting customer satisfaction.

  • Assist the development and enhancement of truck and trailer parts for the company’s private label range.

  • Prepare analysis work for range reviews.

  • Analyse private label program results and provide comprehensive reports.

Qualifications

  • An Engineering Tertiary Qualification is highly regarded
  • 1-2 years experience in an similar role

  • Proven exposure to technical product support and development

  • Previous Automotive Aftermarket experience is preferred but not essential 

  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills including advanced Excel skills

  • Strong analytical skills and experience providing data driven insights

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
