About the role

As the Product Expert Manager at Splend, you are charged with leading a passionate team of Product Experts dedicated to driving sales, customer growth and customer success through the

promotion of Splend's vehicle subscription packages. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic team leader who not only excels in a customer-facing sales environment but also possesses a passion for product sales, customer engagement and solution-based selling.

Your leadership will be instrumental in both guiding the effectiveness of the sales function and nurturing deep product knowledge and enthusiasm among the team. Leading by example, you will support customers throughout their sales journey, provide tailored product recommendations and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure customers are matched with the most suitable products and services to meet their needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Cultivate strong customer relationships underpinned by technical knowledge and enthusiasm for Splend’s vehicles and subscription packages. Develop and maintain expert product knowledge and mentor team members on product features, benefits and value propositions to effectively meet customer needs;
  • Drive sales excellence through proactive customer engagement, relationship management and effective solution-based selling. Provide guidance and support to team members while continuously developing professional knowledge and technical expertise;
  • Ensure seamless delivery of sales activities and customer service throughout the sales process. Address customer enquiries and technical challenges promptly, fostering confidence in Splend’s products and services while encouraging innovative problem-solving within your team;
  • Implement targeted sales strategies and monitor performance against sales objectives. Adjust sales approaches as needed to optimise sales outcomes, strengthen customer relationships and maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of the customer journey from initial enquiry through to successful onboarding and implementation, ensuring customers are matched with the most suitable products to support long-term satisfaction and retention.
  • Regularly collaborate with technical specialists, team leaders, sales and regional managers and other stakeholders to align customer solutions, including sharing market insights and supporting successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations and customer consultations while supporting team members in delivering high-quality customer interactions and achieving sales targets;
  • Assist with the training, coaching and development of sales team members, sharing technical product knowledge and best-practice sales techniques to support team performance and professional growth.

What you'll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Sales, Marketing, Automotive Technology, Information Technology, or a related discipline is highly regarded. Alternatively, substantial demonstrated experience in technical sales, business development, customer solutions or a related field may be considered.
  • Strong ability to understand and communicate technical product features, benefits and value propositions to customers.

  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring sales teams in a customer-facing sales environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and developing effective solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building customer relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Hands-on leadership style capable of driving sales performance, customer engagement and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer interactions, sales opportunities and competing priorities;
  • Strategic thinker with a knack for identifying business opportunities, anticipating challenges and developing effective sales solutions.
  • High standards of professionalism and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting team development.
  • Comfortable commuting to our Paramatta hub daily
