We are seeking an experienced Product Manager Connectivity to design, develop and lead the strategy and roadmap for our inflight Wi‑Fi, ensuring an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the journey. This role involves analysing market trends, identifying new opportunities across entertainment and connectivity, and aligning initiatives with customer and commercial priorities.
As Product Manager, Connectivity, you will lead performance and relationship management with technology partners, synthesising customer insights and applying human‑centred design principles to continuously enhance the inflight Wi‑Fi experience. A core focus of the role is shaping and executing the monetisation strategy for onboard connectivity, balancing customer engagement and experience with cost, capacity and network performance constraints to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will provide strategic advice to senior leaders across the Qantas Group, manage critical commercial components including budgets and supplier contracts, and contribute across the broader IFEC portfolio, supporting adjacent products, team development, culture and ways of working, with an expectation to lean in where required.
You’ll have –
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in product management or supplier/partner management, with deep expertise in the airline industry, Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity, and the end‑to‑end commercialisation and monetisation of digital or onboard products.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline.
- Strong capability to define and execute product strategy, with a forward‑looking mindset that anticipates future trends, evolving customer needs and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience translating customer and market insights into commercially viable products, revenue opportunities and long‑term value creation.
- Highly developed analytical capability, including research, data‑driven decision‑making, financial modelling and problem‑solving to inform product and commercial decisions.
- Proven commercial acumen, with experience in supplier and partner negotiations, P&L ownership, pricing, commercial forecasting and performance management.
- A proactive self‑starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership and drives outcomes through influence across senior and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong operational and delivery capability, with hands‑on experience working in agile environments and applying human‑centred design approaches and frameworks such as Jobs to be Done and Business Model Canvas.
