Stake is looking for a Program Lead, Product (equivalent to Senior Program Manager) to join our team at our Bondi Junction HQ, with a flexible hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 WFH).

About this role 

As a Program Lead, Product, you will play a pivotal role in building a quality, efficient and scalable product platform that drives exceptional customer outcomes whilst managing risk. You will support the delivery of product experiences, whilst driving improvements in the structures, processes and cross-collaboration between teams. Moreover, this role will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of complex product initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. You will be the central point of contact for key product programs, working closely with product managers, engineering, design, and other stakeholders across the business to bring our vision to life.

This role will report directly to the Chief of Staff to drive a centralised approach across the business, however will work very closely day-to-day with the Chief Product Officer and Head of Product to deliver the product platform strategy. 

Further responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Develop and manage comprehensive program plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessments
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute program plans, ensuring alignment with product strategy and business objectives
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the Product function (Product, design and engineering) and other key teams including Marketing, legal, risk, compliance and operations
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks and roadblocks, escalating issues as needed
  • Monitor program progress, track key metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-function teams and risk management and compliance functions to build processes and procedures for Product to manage risks effectively
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product team efficiency and effectiveness
  • Coordinate product launch activities, act as conduit between product and other teams to support go-to-market strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and successful releases
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the program lifecycle - acting as a trusted advisor to product leadership, providing insights and recommendations on program strategy and execution 

A bit about you

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program management, with at least 5 years’ experience in managing product lifecycle programs, within a technology or software environment
  • Successful track record in leading, developing and implementing complex product programs that has shown direct impact in business strategy, positive customer journey and/or OKRs
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies and product development processes
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related field
  • Experience in the financial services or wealth management industry (preferred) 
  • Experience using project management software such as Jira or Confluence
  • You have a strategic mindset, and are comfortable engaging with and influencing stakeholders both inside and outside the business
  • You have exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, including partnering with the executive team and senior management on projects
  • You think strategically and are able to see the bigger picture, in particular how individual projects connect to the broader company strategy.
