The Project & Opportunity:
To support growth in the Wilton area, Sydney Water will stage the delivery of essential drinking water, recycled water and wastewater infrastructure services as part of the Wilton New Town project.

The Project Controls Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and management of project controls systems and processes for the project. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall project controls strategy and plan

  • Establish project controls policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and effective control measures.

  • Oversee budgeting and cost control processes, including cost planning, cost forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Monitor and report on project expenditures, ensuring alignment with the approved budget.

  • Implement cost-saving measures and recommend corrective actions for budget deviations.

  • Maintain and manage robust, accurate Earned Value reporting on the Alliance.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, and/or Finance.

  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certification (CPEng, RegPM, PMP) is preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Project Controls Manager supporting major civil infrastructure projects.

  • Advanced communication skills & leadership experience.
