That’s why our team brings together deep industry experience with some of the brightest young minds in Australia. The Role

We have an immediate need for a Senior Consultant in Sydney with proven Project Coordination skills and experience in the Defence Industry. Sitting one rung above our entry-level Consultant position, this Service Delivery role sits within our Maritime Capability segment, where you will provide project management consulting services to our clients. You will play a key role supporting Defence programs, coordinating multi-disciplinary activities, managing program rhythms, and helping our clients deliver outcomes within complex and highly regulated environments.

We are looking for multi-skilled people who possess high attention to detail, are focused on innovation and are known for their ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. Experience working alongside Navy, Joint, or other Defence agencies - particularly within operations planning, training or simulation - will set you up for success

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will apply developed technical capabilities and broad knowledge of Project Management methodologies to deliver real impact for our clients. This role will see you supporting all aspects of the project such as administration, finance and scheduling, but also contributing to risk management, governance support, reporting cycles, and coordination of key deliverables across Defence program structures.

You will bring a continuous improvement mindset and an interest in enhancing systems, tools and processes that enable our teams to do their best work. Experience working in dynamic, ambiguity-rich environments - such as large Defence programs, operational planning environments, or above-the-line consulting contexts - will be highly valuable.

As a Defence consultancy, we also need you to be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

Essential skills and attributes include:

  • Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Risk, Governance, or proven experience in a Project support role
  • Persistent, resilient and proactive problem-solver
  • Organised and able to make competing priorities without losing sight of details
  • Comfortable operating in structured Defence frameworks with an understanding of program governance, reporting and assurance requirements

Having these other abilities would also be awesome (but not mandatory):

  • Experience in the operational planning, wargaming or Defence simulation
    • Exposure to Navy Headquarters, HQJOC and Fleet Command
