At Qantas, we’re taking aviation forward.

For more than 100 years, the Qantas Group has been a pioneer in safety, innovation and operational excellence. Today, our Engineering division continues that legacy — delivering critical aircraft projects, driving reliability, and supporting one of the most diverse fleets in the region.

As a Project Coordinator, you’ll support the delivery of key engineering initiatives, ensuring our project teams have the structure, tools and support they need to deliver safely, efficiently and on time.

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator provides essential program and administrative support across a wide range of aircraft engineering projects. You’ll manage project documentation, coordinate schedules and deliverables, prepare reports, and support governance processes to ensure milestones are met. This role partners closely with engineers, project teams and senior stakeholders to drive alignment, maintain accuracy across project systems, and help progress initiatives that directly influence fleet performance and operational readiness.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support project governance through accurate and timely reporting, documentation control and milestone tracking.
  • Coordinate project schedules, action items, risk logs and resource plans, ensuring key activities remain on track.
  • Assist with preparing project communication materials, presentations and status updates for senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and ensure follow‑up actions are completed.
  • Provide administrative and technical support across engineering project teams, including onboarding contractors and supporting process set‑up.
  • Champion standardisation, continuous improvement and consistent project practices across the engineering program environment.

You’ll have:

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting projects in a large, complex organisation.
  • Tertiary qualification or certification in a project/program related discipline.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse engineering and operational teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and project tracking tools (e.g., Power BI, MS Project).
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet deadlines and work independently with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience providing business analysis or project coordination support across simultaneous initiatives.
