Your role and responsibilities
Advance your career with a respected industry leader. Join ABB as a Project Manager overseeing Medium Voltage engineering projects in Moorebank, Australia.
Reporting to the Team Lead, you will ensure successful execution of multiple projects of medium sized and moderately complex projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety and environmental requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments. You will be managing entire project life cycles, making technical recommendations and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing excellent service.

You will be mainly accountable for:
Executing cost-effective project deliverables on time in accordance with technical specifications, ABB guidelines, international and local standards, and safety requirements.
Reviewing and managing supplier claims based on customer specifications and safety standards, as well as technical details, costs, and deliverables for projects.
Creating and maintaining project schedules, progress reports, preparing cost estimates, managing project specific contracts and implementing risk management measures.
Understanding and resolving technical issues during design, manufacturing and post-delivery phases by seeking inputs from all stakeholders
Developing, selecting, and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools, reporting inefficiencies and identifying improvement opportunities
Maintaining a strong network of engineering professionals, and disseminating engineering best practices to aid team development.
Developing your management skills by working with entry-level employees.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar, with 5–10 years in technical and commercial project execution.
Proven delivery of Power Distribution, Switchgear, Protection, or Renewable energy projects.
Strong understanding of AIS, GIS, fused contactors, RMUs, compact substations, and protection relays.
High levels of initiative, curiosity, and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
Ability to work effectively with engineering, PM, supply chain, finance, production, and global factory teams.
Skilled in MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office; SAP knowledge preferred.
