About Marloo

Marloo is building the AI partner for financial advisers. Advisers focus on clients while Marloo handles the rest.

They guide people through the most important decisions of their financial lives and the software built for them has never been worthy of that. We intend to build the company that changes it and to become the system every advice firm in the world runs on.

In under a year we have onboarded more than 1,000 paying firms across eight countries with almost zero churn. Revenue is growing 37% month on month on average. In May we raised a $10m seed led by Blackbird Ventures. Blackbird was the first and largest investor in Canva.

We are at an inflection point. Join now and you will help shape the future of advice.

The role

This is a dedicated Sales Development seat on our Australian team. You will own the top of our funnel: every new sign-up, every warm lead, every account that went quiet.

The role is inbound-heavy to start. Advisers find us, try the product, and the difference between a trial and a paying firm is often a fast, well-run conversation in the first hour. That conversation is yours. Outbound will grow over time, but proven cold calling ability matters from day one — the warm calls still require someone who is confident to pick up the phone quickly.

You will qualify and route: some advisers go to an Account Executive, some are better served activating themselves with a nudge. Knowing the difference, quickly and consistently, is the core skill.

What you'll do
  • Speed to lead. Contact new sign-ups fast, while intent is live.

  • Activate warm leads. Work trials, demo no-shows, webinar attendees and partial activations into real conversations.

  • Reactivate. Bring disengaged and lapsed accounts back with a reason to return.

  • Qualify and route. Hand qualified opportunities to an AE against a clear bar, or set advisers up for self-activation and webinar participation.

  • Build the playbook. Our sales motion is young. You will write and rewrite the scripts, sequences and objection handling alongside us — not inherit a finished manual.

  • Close the loop. Feed objections, competitor mentions and feature requests back to management, product and engineering. You hear things first, and we want them.

  • Get in the room. Expect ~ 20 days a year of domestic travel for conferences and industry events.

How success is measured

This is a volume role with a carried target. Three things:

  1. Qualified meetings accepted by an Account Executive against a written bar — the primary number.

  2. Seat conversions from accounts you sourced, credited regardless of who closed them.

  3. Speed to lead — the percentage of new sign-ups contacted inside our target window.

What you'll bring

Essential

  • B2B sales experience with a carried target.

  • Demonstrable SDR or BDR experience, and real cold calling under your belt. You should be able to talk us through your dial volumes, your conversion rates and what you changed when they dropped.

  • FULL working rights in Australia. We are not in a position to sponsor visas.

Ideal

  • Outbound experience in a scale-up, where the process was being built while you were running it.

  • Comfort with AI-native workflows — setting up routines and basic automations to multiply your own output, not just using a chatbot occasionally.

  • Experience in financial advice, wealth management, or adjacent industries.

The environment

Both the product and the maturity of our sales function are changing fast. Processes you help build in month one may be rebuilt in month four. You will have a lot of autonomy and very little hand-holding, and the only constant is change.

The performance bar is high and the culture is collaborative. There is real room to grow as the business and the GTM team scale.

We are looking for people who care about the problem: access to advice, affordability of advice, and giving advisers tools worth using.

Compensation

A$85,000–95,000 base plus superannuation, with a performance-based variable component for OTE.
