Job Description:
Be an active member of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) function to drive and support Business Unit goals in the context of an integrated risk management framework working in conjunction with key stakeholders: investments, actuarial, valuation, product pricing and development, risk, and finance. The role requires both to ensure the regular delivery of ALM reports and to lead multiple projects to enhance ALM strategies.
Job responsibilities
Prepare and analyze regular and ad-hoc reports related to ALM risks (including interest rate, equity, currency, and liquidity risks) ensuring adherence to operating guidelines.
Develop and maintain ALM asset and liability models used for financial projection and analysis.
Participate in the analysis of ALM strategies for insurance and surplus funds to drive business performance success.
Support production of economic scenarios with the Moody’s ESG tool and ensure timely and high quality delivery of economic scenarios.
Support IFRS17 investment results production and analysis, such as Drivers of Earnings and discount curve derivation.
Support local Asset Liability Committee, working group meetings and Crediting Rate Committee with SLHK Leaders & Regional Office.
Job Requirements
Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics/Statistics, or Finance
4+ years of experience in ALM/Investment/Financial Risk within a life insurance organization is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, preferably with VBA. Experience in Actuarial model software is a plus.
Knowledge of Actuarial/Financial Risk Management/Investment within an insurance company
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to deliver according to deadlines
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Contribute actively as a team player while can work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
