Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Agile Project Manager & Ways of Working Specialist to lead and coach teams in delivering high-impact software solutions. This role is ideal for a systems & strategic thinker with a strong delivery background who is also passionate about driving Agile excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and execute software delivery, support, and maintenance projects within an Agile framework 

  • Establish and monitor project scope, ensuring clear briefing and direction for team members using Agile methodologies 

  • Influences organisation, customers, suppliers, partners and peers on culture ways of working optimisation.

  • Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives. 

  • Supporting workgroups to implement principles and practices for effective teamwork across organisational boundaries and professional specialisms. 

  • Monitor progress and produce comprehensive reports, taking decisive action to maintain project momentum 

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills in team building and staff motivation 

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to align expectations, define key performance indicators, and ensure successful outcomes. 

  • Analyse and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Optimise resource allocation, including staff, equipment, services, and funds 

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team 

  • Present project updates and insights to senior-level stakeholders 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, including 7+ years in a Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master role 

  • 5+ years of practical experience leading agile/ Scrum deliveries in a multi-product environment, focusing on bottom-up and top-down change. 

  • Proven track record in training, mentoring, and coaching – assisting groups, and individuals with agile practices understanding, and maturing. 

  • Is proficient with facilitating group activities or workshops in situations of complexity and ambiguity and where there are competing stakeholder needs.

  • Knowledge, and experience in a world-leading agile at scale model. Certifications that are a plus: SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale, any similar Agile Coaching certification. 

  • Scrum Master certification (desirable) 

  • Strong technical understanding to provide support and guidance to consulting teams 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior-level stakeholders 

  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and risk mitigation 

  • Experience in budgeting and resource allocation for complex projects 

  • Analytical mindset with a talent for problem-solving and decision-making 

  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Visionary approach to project management, driving innovation and continuous improvement 

  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
