Senior Associate Project Manager, Audit (Hybrid)

Capital One is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Senior Associate Project Manager interested in becoming part of our Audit team. In this role, the candidate will directly support project management activities for the Audit department including progress tracking and reporting. The candidate may also have the opportunity to participate in audit functions including maintaining well-managed data, developing guidance and training materials, and managing operational reporting for the department, as well as coordinating with audit stakeholders and executives regarding program implementation results.
General Responsibilities:

  • Support facilitation of project management responsibilities for cross dept projects/initiatives
  • Collaborate with various Audit Leaders, and support partners on various cross functional efforts
  • Assist in ensuring processes are well managed and consistent
  • Support effective change management processes including establishing and executing forums, reporting, and communications
  • Execute associate engagement, retention and morale agenda, including but not limited to: training initiatives, team fun, recognition and rewards programs
  • Support the execution of leadership routines to support the organization, including leadership meetings, stand-ups, town halls, and All Hands meetings
  • Manage general workflow and day-to-day activities in support of organizational goals
  • Support horizontal and business critical efforts, including coordination with the Audit Chief of Staff teams on office decisions, and planning efforts with other key business partners


The person will:

  • Exhibit a proven track record of process management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
  • Adapt to change, embrace bold ideas, and be intellectually curious.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrate learning agility to adapt to changing demands
  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
  • Possess a continuous improvement mindset and openness to new initiatives


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in Project Management, Process Management, Risk Management, Product Management, or a combination


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience
  • 2+ years experience in auditing, data analytics compliance, or a combination
  • Proficient in MS Office or Google Suite
  • Experience planning ahead and managing time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Excellent organizational skills

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend 3+ days per week (Monday - Thursday) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days.
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Project Manager
Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
