Job Description

  • Full-time, fixed-term position (12 months) at HEW Level 8.
  • Parramatta South Campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $118,969 – $132,069 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Lead business analysis across strategic initiatives that deliver integrated, scalable and compliant solutions.

The Opportunity
You will provide strategic business analysis across a diverse portfolio of projects within the Portfolio Management Office, supporting the delivery of solutions that advance University priorities. Working across a complex higher education environment, you will partner with stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into clear business requirements and actionable outcomes.

You will facilitate stakeholder engagement across academic and professional domains, gathering, validating and prioritising requirements while building strong relationships with senior leaders and key project contributors. By analysing business needs, evaluating processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, you will help shape solutions that are practical, integrated and aligned to organisational goals.

Working closely with project managers, architects, technical specialists and external vendors, you will contribute to solution design, implementation and change adoption. You will also champion consistent business analysis practices, support benefits realisation activities, provide guidance to less experienced analysts, and ensure all outputs comply with governance, privacy, security and data management requirements.

  • Deliver clear, high-quality requirements, specifications and documentation that support successful solution delivery.
  • Build effective stakeholder partnerships that enable informed decision-making and consensus across diverse groups.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to measurable project benefits through risk management, governance and benefits realisation practices.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Analysis, Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading business analysis activities on complex projects within large organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Expertise in business process modelling, requirements elicitation, solution specification and process improvement.
  • Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments, with proficiency in tools such as BPMN, UML, Visio, JIRA and Confluence.
