Role Overview

The Techno-Functional Senior Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that solutions meet business objectives while aligning with technical feasibility. This role requires a strong blend of business acumen and technical expertise to deliver high-quality solutions for complex projects.

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis
    • Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
  • Solution Design & Delivery
    • Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable solutions.
    • Support system configuration, integration, and testing activities.
    • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure defect resolution.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams.
    • Communicate project updates, risks, and dependencies effectively.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
    • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation.
    • Recommend best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Project Governance
    • Ensure compliance with organisational standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage timelines, risks, and deliverables across multiple workstreams

Requirements

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and system integration.
    • Familiarity with APIs.
    • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
    • Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence
  • Business Skills
    • Strong understanding of business processes and impact analysis.
    • Ability to create business cases and functional documentation.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in business analysis with a techno-functional focus.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or SAFe are highly desirable.

 Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to cloud transformation projects and data governance.
  • Experience in financial services, regulatory reporting, or similar domains.
Hands-on involvement in automation and digital transformation initiatives
