What this opportunity involves:

 

Join JLL's dynamic Property Management team as a Senior Finance Manager, where you'll lead financial operations for a significant client property portfolio across retail, commercial, industrial, community and telecommunication assets. This role offers the opportunity to drive financial excellence, shape strategic decision-making, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver superior client outcomes

 

Based in predominantly in Sydney CBD and very occasionally Parramatta, you'll serve as the key finance business partner to the Account Director and property management team, leading month-end, forecasting and budgeting cycles whilst delivering timely, accurate financial insights that enable effective decision-making. You'll drive consistency and transparency across the client's national portfolio, including reporting to overseas fund partners.

 

 

An overview of the role:  

·       Lead monthly financial reporting, month-end processes and preparation of management reports for presentation to the client

·       Manage annual budgets, forecasts and variance analysis with detailed tenant-by-tenant commentary

·       Ensure compliance with Trust Accounting and Property Accounting policies, including six-monthly internal audit preparations

·       Process journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, IFRS rent smoothing calculations and annual tenant outgoing reconciliations

·       Act as primary finance liaison between the Account Director, client delivery team, client finance teams and JLL support functions

·       Drive consistency in processes, timelines and reporting formats across the national portfolio

·       Mentor and train team members, leading monthly finance training sessions

·       Manage property transitions, bank accounts, GST reconciliations and client remittances

·       Act as Level 1 MRI support and drive system enhancements

 

 

Sound like you? This is what we’re looking for: 

·       Degree in Accounting

·       CPA qualification

·       6+ years' experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting

·       Property accounting experience

·       Team management experience

·       MRI property accounting system experience

·       Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example and take accountability

·       Excellent decision-making capabilities with a focus on timely, well-considered outcomes

·       Superior communication and interpersonal skills

·       Self-managed and personally effective work approach

·       Collaborative mindset with a commitment to knowledge sharing

·       Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
