The Investments business is currently seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our high-performing team on a 9-month fixed-term contract (parental leave cover).

About The Role:

This role is critical in delivering high-quality management reporting, financial insights, and decision support to the IM leadership team to drive business performance.

You will work collaboratively with the General Manager Finance for Financial Control and FP&A to support financial and commercial analysis for strategic and operational initiatives as well as support financial control, reporting and decision making for the Investment Management business. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and driving business performance including supporting business improvement growth initiatives.

  • Leading portfolio reporting and analysis, understanding the key assumptions and drivers of the forecast and plan, supporting the team in modelling various fund and asset portfolio scenarios and ad hoc analytics.

  • Ownership of management reporting for Investment Management to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

  • Providing commercial finance support to the Australia Investment Management business, supporting the development of business cases and driving P&L accountability.

  • Leading half year-end and year-end management reporting requirements in line with reporting timelines.

  • Coordination of ad-hoc necessary analytics, reports and requests to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and informed reporting and decision making.

  • Managing the performance and development of one direct report and actively engaging with the wider team both onshore and offshore, building the skill sets required for a high performing team.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to increase networks and allow for efficient and effective exchange of information.

  • Play a key role in delivery of finance transformation activities, including ownership of financial reporting information through financial system transformation.

About You:

  • Demonstrated technical skills in financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering, translating data into insights.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines

  • CA/CPA qualified along with strong current technical accounting knowledge.

  • Excellent working knowledge of finance systems including TM1 and Oracle preferred.  Working knowledge of Alteryx is desirable.
