We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day aspects of SafetyCulture’s global accounting operations including accounts payable, payroll, cashflow management, direct and indirect taxes and month end and statutory reporting. Financial projects, transformation and working with the Financial Controller and with other senior business stakeholders, will also form part of this role. You will have two direct reports and report to the Financial Controller.
How you will spend your time:
- Supervise and oversee the Accounts Payable and expense reimbursement process, assisting with review and execution of weekly payment runs.
- Supervise and oversee the financial management of SafetyCulture’s physical goods business (SC Marketplace).
- Manage direct reports to ensure proper staffing and department efficiencies, including training, development, coaching, counseling and performance reviews.
- Manage projects and change processes including enhancing systems interfaces for accounts payable and procurement with internal stakeholders; and GL transformation
- Identify and implement change to improve the control environment of the accounting team.
- Enhancing current processes surrounding our Treasury practices and reporting.
- Assisting with tax related projects including but not limited to transfer pricing, indirect tax improvements, and other ad hoc projects as required by the business.
- Assisting with ESOP management and capital transactions.
- Performing financial due diligence work on potential investments and/or acquisitions.
- Scope and drive strategic finance projects.
About you:
- CA/CPA qualified accountant with 4-6 years work experience, ideally in a ‘Big 4’ or mid-tier accounting firm, or within the finance department of a corporate
- Experience managing direct reports and/or leading project-based teams
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a focus on process enhancement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Desirable:
- International accounting experience in the US, UK and Europe
- Experience in a SaaS or high-growth technology business
- Experience with Netsuite
