We span the whole value chain, and a complete set of data skills, and drive value through insights, driving change, enabling better management decisions, and automating decisions with AI (and Machine Learning) live into our business.

The Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst - Digital Marketing you will lead the evolution of how we use data to drive outcomes in lead generation and engagement, sitting at the intersection of data science and customers’ digital journey enhancement.

You’ll be working directly with the marketing team and digital team, bringing your expertise and knowledge in how we might improve our capability in realising the opportunities in our (big) digital data to improve lead volumes, lead quality, and lead conversion.

We're looking for a data scientist to use data we have already built, and will involve working across our growth functions, including partnering with:

  • Marketing to uplift our analytical support for optimising campaigns, keywords and targeting
  • Digital and Customer Engagement teams to make sure we’re helping customers through their insurance journey as business-owners.
  • Tech teams to orchestrate and integrate model outputs into our platforms.
Requirements

Day to Day responsibilities:

  • Lead the application of data science and modelling within marketing and digital domains to support actionable strategies. 
  • Working with Marketing to optimise acquisition and conversion to key growth and value metrics such as Customer Lifetime Value, CAC, and market share. 
  • Identify and customise customer segments to boost engagement and conversion and assist our marketing and digital teams with audience management & activation and journey design. 
  • Enable rigorous A/B testing to optimize campaigns, landing pages and activation strategies, ensuring statistical validity and recommending improvements and opportunities. 
  • Utilise advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to analyse marketing and digital datasets, extracting valuable insights related to customers’ behaviour, preferences, individual journeys and trends. 
  • Scaling our insights and marketing automation: Partner with Marketing & IT to integrate insights and models directly into our digital marketing processes, platforms and tools. 

What do I need to be successful?  (technical and inter-personal):

You are:

  • Brave in taking initiative, trying new ideas, and demonstrating outcomes. 
  • Always looking for a better, more efficient way of getting outcomes for customers, stakeholders and the team. 
  • Bringing trust in insights through attention to detail and a meticulous approach to identifying patterns, trends, and anomalies in data. 
  • Collaborative and flexible in a dynamic with cross-functional environment. 
  • Someone who enjoys learning and discovering new things in data and trying new techniques.

You must have: 

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience working with large data sets, complex models and experience applying them to business problems.
  • Solid exposure to Digital Campaign management, including SEM and SEO, campaign creation, ad performance optimization, and what happens after the click. 
  • 2 years of working with Marketing teams on Above-the-line digital lead acquisition. 
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, and Python including scikit-learn.
  • Experience with digital data sets including Google Analytics, as well as Paid Search & PPC data and platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, Instagram, etc. 
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in an applied-statistics field (Business, Psychology, Finance/Actuarial, Business Analytics, etc.). 
  • A strong documentation ethic with clear & concise business writing skills. 

Bonus points if you have any of:

  • Practical experience with campaign bid strategy automation. 
  • Insurance industry and product experience. 
  • Exposure to marketing mix, segmentation, and multi touch attribution models 
  • Visualization skills in PowerBI, Tableau or similar. 
  • AWS Sagemaker and Lambda experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with experimental design, analysis, and reporting in a relevant discipline.
