About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Integrations Specialist to lead the payroll integration initiatives across the Journey Beyond group. Following significant growth and business expansion, this role will be instrumental in supporting the alignment and integration of payroll processes, systems, and governance frameworks across newly acquired businesses.

This position will suit a payroll professional who has led payroll integration workstreams, managed payroll-related project delivery, supported change and transition activities and has payroll system experience.  You will partner closely with the Payroll, HR, Finance and Technology teams to ensure a seamless and compliant integration of payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage payroll integration activities from initiation through to implementation, including scoping, planning, governance and risk management.
  • Develop and execute the roadmap to transition payroll services from TSS arrangements to an in-house operating model.
  • Design payroll processes, controls and governance frameworks that support compliance and operational excellence.
  • Partner with the Payroll, HR, Finance and Technology teams to integrate payroll systems, data and processes.
  • Oversee payroll data migration, testing, validation and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Awards, Enterprise Agreements and internal governance requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate payroll-related risks to ensure business continuity throughout the transition and provide expert payroll integration advice to stakeholders and project teams.

Experience

  • Proven experience leading payroll integration and payroll implementation projects within integrated organisations.
  • Demonstrated success establishing new payroll operations and transitioning away from transitional service arrangements.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, compliance, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, payroll tax, and payroll governance frameworks.
  • Experience working across payroll systems implementations, payroll data migration, system optimisation, and process redesign initiatives.
  • Strong project delivery and stakeholder management skills in complex organisational environments.
  • Experience identifying and mitigating payroll risks while maintaining operational continuity throughout periods of change.
  • Experience with payroll system integrations or migrations (such as PayGlobal, Micropay, Dayforce, Workday or similar platforms).
