Senior Project Manager, Technology will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology-related projects within the Data, cyber and Technology Pillar. They will be responsible for a number of projects, ensuring alignment with the Technology Stream's strategic objectives and the overall program goals. The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership and guidance to Project Managers and their teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Oversee the Technology-related projects within the stream, ensuring alignment with the Technology Stream's strategic objectives

  • Prioritise projects, allocate resources and manage interdependencies between projects

  • Securing project resources with the necessary experience aligned to the complexity of the task or if the appropriate resources are not available instituting a resource risk minimisation plan

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

  • Operating within the requirements specified by the organisation’s operating mode, including the Delivery Framework and the Governance Framework

  • Establishing clear delegated authority, accountabilities & performance management structures for the project.

  • Project Oversight and Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to succeed

  • Review project plans, track progress, and address any issues or challenges that arise

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams and stakeholders

  • End-to-end coordinated management of all project streams and by the requirements of the organisation

  • Ensuring all project component delivery/operational/regulatory/reputation risk impacts are maintained within acceptable and agreed parameters

  • Assisting with the creation of the organisation’s future capability by gathering and documenting Lessons Learned.

  • Technical Leadership

  • Leverage expertise in IT infrastructure, integrations, IT service management, software development, and technology solutions to provide guidance and support to project teams.

  • Ensure that projects adhere to architectural standards, best practices, and technology roadmaps.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the Technology Stream and across the DCT Pillar

  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.

  • Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction

  • Ensuring supplier vendors are fully aligned with project goals, the organisation’s Project Management requirements & Values

  • Ensuring key Stakeholders remain strongly committed to the projects

  • Report regularly to the Technology Stream Lead, Program Manager and Program Director on the stream's overall progress, risks, and issues

  • Prepare and present project status reports to the DCT Pillar Steering Committee as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on Technology-related projects

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, integrations, IT service management, software development methodologies, and technology solutions.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed environment

  • Strong problem-solving & decision-making skills

  • Proficient in the use of applications including but not limited to presentation, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.
