Focus of the Role
Highly experienced Telecom Enterprise & Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of comprehensive Architecture solutions within telecommunications OSS & BSS environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of telecom networks, tools used in Telco processes, industry standards & architecture principles, and will play a key role in driving the alignment of our Architecture strategies & roadmap with business goals and technological advancements.

What You’ll Do
Product & Technology - Software Engineering & IT develops and maintains Telstra's software and IT systems, working on some really cutting-edge technologies.
- Lead the development of the enterprise architecture across domains like Product Enablement, Service Activation, Assurance and Billing within the telecom domain.
- Align Telstra Group Architecture strategies with overall business and technology goals.
- Provide strategic direction on the selection, integration, and implementation of OSS/BSS tools and platforms.
- Design end-to-end service enablement solutions that cover Opportunity, Quoting, Pricing & Ordering, Automated Provisioning & Activation, Interaction with Network as a Service elements, change & fault management, performance management, Rating & billing and customer experience management.
- Architect scalable and robust solutions that integrate with existing telecom network infrastructure and IT systems.
- Develop blueprints and roadmaps for evolving the architecture to meet future needs.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the chosen process area, providing guidance on best practices and emerging technologies.
- Oversee the integration of systems in their responsible area with OSS/BSS systems, other IT applications, external customers, suppliers and partners and network elements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network operations, IT, and business units, to ensure cohesive and effective business capability enablement solutions.
- Ensure that the architecture complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Be accountable for implementing Observability, Security, Resilience and Privacy measures to protect the systems and the data they process
- Optimize the performance and reliability of systems in responsible capability areas, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Enterprise & Solutions Architecture geared to enabling a future telecom business model
- Explore opportunities in business and technical capability space and implement new technologies such as AI/ML
About You
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on service assurance, network management, or OSS/BSS systems.
- Proven experience in architecting and implementing large-scale solutions in a telecom environment.
- Deep understanding of telecom networks (e.g., mobile, fixed, IP) and associated technologies.
- Expertise in tools and platforms, used in Telecom OSS/BSS including fault and performance management systems, Billing, Regulatory Retention and Identity functions.
- Knowledge of network management protocols (e.g., SNMP, NETCONF) and standards (e.g., TM Forum) desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and the use of AI/ML in a Telco Enterprise Architecture.
- Tech stack/ Domain knowledge desirable– SalesForce, ServiceNow, CSG SingleView, BluePlanet Inventory, Integration & Miroservices architecture, Cloud (esp AWS/Azure) Architecture fundamentals, SDN/NFV, Transmission & IP Layer Telco offering
