Your Team
The role sits within the Quality Assurance & Test team in CFS FirstChoice Technology, supporting delivery across the FirstChoice platform and Fund Services. The team drives efficient, high-quality testing aligned to strategic priorities and customer outcomes.
Working closely with delivery leads, engineers and business stakeholders, it fosters strong collaboration across technology delivery.
Your Responsibilities
Design, review and deliver test strategies and plans across functional and non‑functional testing, with a strong focus on automation
Lead test analysis, design and execution activities, including test cases, scripts and peer reviews
Drive quality outcomes through test deliverables, defect triage, risk management and clear status reporting with metrics
Identify opportunities to enhance automation and leverage AI to improve testing efficiency
Manage test data, environments and ensure readiness for effective execution
Mentor and guide team members in test practices, system knowledge and continuous improvement
Your Capability and Experience
Mandatory:
Strong expertise across the end‑to‑end test lifecycle, including functional and non‑functional testing
Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks, tools and CI/CD pipeline integration
Exposure to AI processes and tools for use in test processes and automation.
Ability to analyse requirements and translate them into effective, risk‑based test coverage
Proven skills in defect management, prioritisation and leading triage activities
Excellent stakeholder engagement, with the ability to work independently while mentoring others
Desirable:
Experience in financial services IT, particularly wealth management or superannuation
Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline
ISTQB Advanced or equivalent certification
