Receives and inspects deliveries, stores and issues parts, maintains inventory records, packs and dispatches orders, and keeps the warehouse safe and organised. Provides parts assistance to customers, technicians, and staff by phone, email, and face to face. Requires forklift and driver licences, accurate computer and data-entry skills, warehousing and stock-control experience, and knowledge of heavy diesel engine and truck parts.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Receiving deliveries – Checking incoming parts and materials from suppliers to make sure they are correct and not damaged
- Putting stock away – Organising and storing parts in the correct locations so they are easy to find later
- Supplying parts to the workshop – Picking and issuing parts to technicians so they can complete their jobs
- Stock control – Keeping track of what parts are in stock, updating inventory in the computer system and reporting when items are running low
- Packing and dispatching orders – Preparing parts for delivery or shipment to customers or other branches
- Keeping the store tidy and safe – Making sure the warehouse or parts area is clean, organised, and safe to work in
- Helping customers or staff with parts enquiries via F2F, phone and email – Finding the correct part or checking availability
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- A current Forklift license
- Local Valid Driver’s License required
- Competent computer skills and data entry accuracy
- Experience in warehousing, stock control, and inventory systems
- Strong understanding of heavy diesel engine components and truck parts
- High Reach Truck experience is highly advantageous but not required
