Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our Technology Risk & Governance team.

Please note this role is a 6-month Maximum-Term Contract with an outlook for full-time permanent conversion. 

In this role, you’ll leverage your technical skills to develop, maintain, and support innovative solutions that solve real-world challenges in the payments industry. From designing and building scalable systems to ensuring seamless integration with key technologies, your work will directly impact millions of users. 

You’ll also make an impact by: 

  • Partner with Initiative Owners to analyse business problems and define requirements to achieve an outcome/solution.
  • Elicit and document technical requirements, assumptions, dependencies, functional and non-functional specifications to achieve defined initiative outcome.
  • Identify and analyse current business and technology processes, and define and embed new, including operationalisation of change.
  • Maintain knowledge repositories for business, technology, and projects ensuring up-to-date and accurate at all times.
  • Utilise data from initiative and delivery teams to support decision-making, prioritisation and capacity planning.
  • Utilise data to suggest opportunities for improvement and support continuous improvement.
  • Partner with delivery teams to plan execution into sprints, in consideration of dependencies and competing priorities.
  • Partner with test teams to define and execute test plan for initiatives prior to implementation.
  • Ensure alignment to strategic objectives, risk and compliance requirements, and operational excellence.
  • Always Ensure compliance with all relevant ETS and Cuscal frameworks and Risk requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide regular, constructive suggestions for change.
  • Foster a culture of one team, a nimble mindset, and laser focus on outcomes.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Previously had role as a Tech BA, BA or Consultant
  • Experience in payments, banking or financial services
  • Experience working with multiple project delivery methodologies, including agile and waterfall
  • Bringing essential competencies of Business Analysis, Risk Mitigation, Test Execution and Change Management.
  • Strong competency with Atlassian suite
