About the role

Kick-start your tech career in a role where you’ll learn fast, make an impact, and be surrounded by a team that’s got your back. We’re looking for a Technical Consultant based in Sydney to join our growing team - someone who’s eager to build deep product expertise while helping customers get the most out of their systems.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be right at the heart of our customer experience—keeping systems running smoothly, solving tricky technical challenges, and acting as the bridge between customers, support teams, and our product engineers. You’ll get exposure to real-world problems from day one, working on complex issues and escalations that will sharpen your skills and accelerate your growth.

If you’re a quick learner who thrives on problem-solving, loves technology, and brings fresh ideas and energy, this is your opportunity to step into a role where no two days are the same—and where your development is just as important as the work you do.

A day in your role:

  • Keep things running (and customers smiling): You’ll be hands-on managing and optimising our Objective applications in customer environments—making sure everything runs smoothly, meets SLAs, and delivers a great experience every day.
  • Be the problem-solver people rely on: When issues are escalated, you’ll jump in—investigating, troubleshooting, and delivering smart solutions. You’ll tackle real challenges, learn fast, and know when to escalate to get the best outcome.
  • Communicate like a pro: Whether it’s explaining a fix, updating a customer, or collaborating with teammates, you’ll build confidence through clear, friendly, and effective communication.
  • Drive smarter ways of working: You’ll continuously look for opportunities to improve how things are done—identifying inefficiencies, leveraging automation or data insights, and reducing manual effort to deliver faster, smarter outcomes.
  • Win as a team: You’ll work alongside experienced experts, learning from them while also sharing your ideas. We value collaboration, curiosity, and helping each other succeed.
  • Level up your tech skills: You’ll constantly build your knowledge of our products and environments—getting exposure to real-world systems and growing your expertise every day.
  • Build real customer connections: You’ll take ownership of your customer group, becoming a trusted go-to for technical support and building strong, positive relationships along the way.
  • See your impact: Your work directly contributes to happy customers, strong partnerships, and team success—helping us hit key performance goals and celebrate wins together.

Your skills, experience and beyond:

  • Degree qualified in an Information Technology or a related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in technical support, devops, IT services or IT operation roles.
  • Experience working within an enterprise software vendor or SaaS company is highly advantageous.
  • Some experience working with application software, either as an administrator or developer. Basic understanding of databases, servers, and operating systems (such as Windows or Unix) is preferred.
  • Some experience with coding or scripting, with an interest in building simple automations or improving processes. You enjoy problem-solving and are comfortable learning new tools or technologies as you go.
  • Exposure to system administration and cloud platforms—you’ve worked with or are excited to work with modern infrastructure and environments.

Why join Objective?

    • Your work has a purpose- everything we build helps customers deliver outcomes that matter.
    • You’re supported Flexible work, genuine care, and a focus on wellbeing are central to life here.
    • You can grow. We invest in learning, development, and giving people opportunities to stretch their skills.
    • You’re part of a great team. High trust, collaborative, and a culture built around teamwork and quality.
