About the role
As a Data Analyst with a tech focus, you will be responsible for building the analytics capability on selected projects across all departments’ business as usual (BAU) activities and broader business strategy. You will partner with the business to understand how to best support ongoing decision making and long-term analytics requirements, and productionising business-wide strategic priority requests using visualisation tools. The role will also at times have the opportunity to coach and mentor junior team members.

Your Focus
- Partner with the business to understand how to best support ongoing decision making andlong-term analytics requirements; work with the Data Engineering team to make sure our data architecture is optimised.
- Co-create problem statements with the relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of innovation and analytical thinking across the business, including facilitating implementation and training of self-serve tools
- Understand Cashrewards’ data architecture and recognise the best source to get inputs for analysis
- Assist in tasks related to migration requirements by troubleshooting problems in workflows and collaborating with engineering teams to find solutions.
- Maintain and seek to improve current systems and data pipelines and workflows
- Work with AWS Redshift, S3, SQLServer, Bitbucket and Power BI.
About You
- Highly desirable to have experience in a similar role in an IT environment or analytics industry.
- Stakeholder management and engagement to understand their pain-points, identify opportunities, and develop analytical solutions
- Proficient knowledge of SQL, data visualisation tools such as Power BI, and other tools
- Experience of working with Big Data, star schema designs for dashboards, Control-m, Airflow, etc. For automation. Knowledge of Power Tools for automation & manual data integestion for selective reports is a plus.
- Utilisation of data to discover insights, predict behaviour, add value and visualise results and patterns to provide recommendations to support Cashrewards’ ambitions.
- A deep interest in problem solving, taking opportunities of tasks to explore data pipelines and processes enriching their understanding of the business and its systems while providing solutions
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues through investigation of data workflows utilising system tables where appropriate to independently identify existing data relationships and dependencies
- Experience in data modeling ability utilising concepts such as normalisation, primary and foreign keys, constraints etc. With the ability to build into or enhance current analytical dependency tables or schemas
- Ability to drive end-to-end analytics delivery, pipeline setup and modelling while maintaining data quality and consistency throughout the workflow and providing actionable business insights.
- Experience with monitoring the performance and usage of deployed models’ procedures and scheduled jobs, identifying areas for optimisation and improvement. Implement necessary adjustments to enhance accuracy and speed.
