How you'll make an impact

As the Comms Platform Tech Lead, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering robust, scalable communication and document management solutions that underpin key customer and regulatory outcomes across AMP. You’ll lead the design and evolution of Customer Communications Management (CCM) and Document Management capabilities, ensuring platforms are secure, resilient and aligned to enterprise strategy. Through close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects and delivery teams, you will translate complex business requirements into high-quality technical solutions that enable seamless, personalised customer communications.

This role goes beyond delivery, you will drive continuous improvement across the platform by embedding modern engineering practices, optimising cloud-native architectures and introducing automation and AI-enabled development approaches. As a hands-on technical leader, you will guide engineers, support production stability, and lead the response to high-impact incidents, ensuring operational excellence and minimal disruption to business-critical services.

What you'll bring to the role

You are a seasoned full-stack technical leader with deep expertise across backend, frontend, and cloud-native development, combined with a strong ability to lead from the front. You bring extensive experience in Java (Spring Boot ecosystem), modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, and AWS cloud services, with a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performing enterprise applications.

Your strength lies not only in technical capability, but in your ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups, translating business needs into well-architected solutions. You have a strong understanding of modern engineering practices, including API-driven design, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation, along with a solid appreciation for risk, security, and regulatory frameworks. With a natural problem-solving mindset, you are comfortable operating in complex environments, driving initiatives end-to-end while maintaining a strong focus on quality, performance, and customer outcomes
